As part of its mandate, the Independent Redress Mechanism (IRM) addresses complaints from individuals who believe they are, or may be, negatively impacted by projects or programs funded by the Green Climate Fund (GCF).

To further this mission, the IRM collaborates with civil society organisations (CSOs) to host quarterly outreach webinars aimed at reaching potentially affected individuals and raising awareness about its mission and values. These webinars target regional CSOs and local communities, reinforcing the IRM’s presence at both local and regional levels.

On 22 July 2026, the IRM will host a virtual webinar, targeted at CSOs and local communities in Africa. CSOs who have participated in a previous IRM in-person workshop in Rwanda and Morocco will be encouraged to share the webinar details with their networks. The public webinar will be available in English and French. To ensure privacy, participants will have the option of joining anonymously.
